The Alchemy Partners group advises on investments in private equity
and special opportunities.
Commitments come from a large number of investors including major banks, pension funds, fund-of-funds, university endowments and high net worth individuals.
Private Equity
Specialising in leveraged management buy-outs, buy-ins and the provision of later stage development capital, Alchemy Partners LLP is a private equity advisory business based in London. Alchemy Partners LLP advises Alchemy Partners (Guernsey) Limited, Fund Manager to the Alchemy Investment Plan (the "Alchemy Plan").
Alchemy's private equity business has advised on over 100 completed transactions with more than £2.1bn of equity invested to date. Alchemy is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the current turbulent markets with its focus on value investing and experience in executing difficult deals.
In addition, Alchemy participates in a joint venture with the Ashmore Group in a domestic Indian Development Capital business.
Special Opportunities
In early 2006, Alchemy sought to offer investors additional ways to take advantage of the investment opportunities arising from the over exuberance of the debt markets in the preceding years. Later that year, Ian Cash and Frits Prakke joined Alchemy to establish a distressed debt and special opportunities fund management business, Alchemy Special Opportunities LLP.
Fundraising for the Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund LP (“ASOF”) was completed in March 2007 and the team now comprises seven investment professionals.
